Emmanuel Baptist Church
Light in the Darkness

Emmanuel Baptist Church is an, Independent, Bible-Believing Baptist Church whose purpose is to reach the Jacksonville, TX area and the world for the cause of Christ! Our hope is that all men would be saved and that we will be "...the light of the world..." described in Matt. 5:14. We desire to help people and homes build a solid Biblical foundation and to grow in God's grace by providing sound Bible preaching and teaching, Christ honoring music, and an environment of worship!

Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1

What We Believe
Growing in God's Way

We are an Independent Baptist church by conviction and principle, not by affiliation with a denomination. This means that we believe the basic Bible teachings for which Baptists have historically stood. As Baptists, we believe the following: the Bible is our sole authority for all matters of faith and practice. The church should be autonomous or self-governing. We believe that every Christian has equal access to God personally and does not need a human mediator. God’s Word gives us two ordinances for the church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that each person is individually responsible for their decision to accept Christ; that the work of Christ is a finished work and that every believer is thus eternally secure. There are two biblical offices in the church: pastors and deacons. Click here to read our full statement of faith.
